Whoa Nelly!

See the source imageI was doing my civic duty yesterday by placing my vote. I was waiting in line and there was a woman in front of me in gym attire. I was thinking that she really should not be wearing those athletic wear pants as they were doing her a total disservice.

As we approached the check-in, she said her name. Well, well, well. This was a girl that I kind of, sort of knew back in high school. Now I know it has been twenty years since then, but I was like holy shit.

This girl used to be super thin and super cute. Neither remain to be the case any longer.

She was not totally fat, but she was fat in all the wrong places. Like the fat distribution was almost like the remnants of mudslide, just all over the place.

Now this lady is my age and she looked about ten years older than me. I actually gasped when I saw how deep her wrinkles were.

I know I sound like a vain cunt, but, hey, aren’t we all.

It was just such a horrible downfall for her.

I guess to paraphrase, the late, great Patrice O’Neal, “women age like bread, not like wine.” And boy oh boy, is he correct.

Life Is One Bad Rerun

On this day in history these three events occurred. Although not all in the same year, they may as well have happened in 2015.

  1. In 1989, NBC premiered “Howard Beach: Making A Case for Murder.” This is based on the December 1986 murders of black youths by white youths in New York City. Flash forward to almost thirty years later and perhaps the students at the University of Missouri and the Black Lives Matter movement should take a look at this horrific instance to understand what real racism is.
  2. In 1984, Hezbollah militants hijack a Kuwait Airlines plane, killing four passengers. So to all the people who like to blame President Busch for ISIS just pipe down. Islamic extremists have been around since the dawn of civilization. They will never stop. Please refer to 2009 Fort Hood, 2013 Boston Marathon, 2015 Garland Texas, 2015 UC Merced, 2015 San Bernardino.
  3. In 1921, the Virginia Rappe manslaughter and rape trial (the first one) against Roscoe ‘Fatty’ Arbuckle ends in a hung jury. Rappe got sick at a party hosted by Arbuckle in September 1921 and she died four days later. Arbuckle was accused by Rappe’s friend of raping and accidentally killing her. The first two trials resulted in hung juries. Arbuckle was acquitted in the third trial.  After the trials, his movies were banned and he was publicly shunned. The ban on his films was lifted within a year but Arbuckle barley filmed through the 1920s.  He was finally able to return to acting in 1932. Replace Arbuckle with James Deen and lose the manslaughter charge and we are barking up the same tree. I am not saying that Deen’s accusers are lying and I’m not saying that he is guilty. I am saying that these women who are accusing Deen better be telling the truth because they have ruined Deen’s life either way. He will always have the stigma because of this character assassination.

I guess humanity is doomed because it refuses to change.

That’s Hack In the Worst Possible Way

images

We all look up random shit on the internet so think about how horrifying it would be if somebody went through your entire history and showed you all the random ass searches you’ve performed. I’m not even talking about the weird porn shit. We are all guilty of the porn thing, I think that none of that would be judged as far as a search history as long as you don’t have any kid fucker shit type stuff. I’m talking about like randomly weird questions. I have used Google to search some stupid ass shit, like does pubic hair turn gray and do penis’ get liver spots. (Yes and yes.) I suppose even like the random stuff of the particular Facebook pages you cruise or the Twitter accounts you check up on could be rather embarrassing and could implicate you in some stalkerish tendencies. I’m not much for looking around those sites but I’m sure this sort of shit could ruin a lot of people I know, especially the married ones. I will say my history of looking at anonib.com is probably a bit unsettling but I can’t help myself. (I will say as much as I enjoy that site I feel bad for all the girls on it because they didn’t want their naked pictures to get published. It is exactly why I’ve always been skeptical of sending pictures via text but that’s a whole other topic.) I’m just saying that my computer search history would be a wild ride to go down if it was presented to me. Let’s just put it this way, if I wasn’t a total nothing and I had a career, my computer search history would sink it in a flash.
