I was watching television the other day and a commercial came on for Cumberland Farms. No big deal, except the guy hawking Cumberland Farms coffee was Michael Rappaport. I’m not some huge fan of his as an actor, but he had a legitimate career. I mean he worked with Stallone, Keitel and De Niro. He had a legitimate career. I don;t get why he’s selling cheap mini-mart coffee?
I know the show business game is brutal. Unless you’re a huge mega star, you’re not getting that much money. I always thought that he was getting steady work. It’s just so depressing. I’m not sure if this is a case of sell out or self-preservation. Either way, it’s sad to see.
